Dave The Hauler Returns With A New Buddy

My old mate Dave managed to sneak out without me along with his good friend Lee to be met with weather that would be likened to that found in the Sahara . Sweltering temps into the 40s proved a difficult and uncomfortable week , although 2 fish in the first 12 hrs might have given the lads false hopes . Lees first fish from the lake being Pennyscale at 50+ certainly put a smile on his face and even the sight of spawning fish in the reedy areas couldn't dampen his mood . The guys fished popped up corn toppers over the usual particle/ pellet / boilie mix and saw them land a total of 5 fish including Gilbert again for Dave around the 40 mark . This fish loves Dave , but it would be nice to see the smaller grassie out as it's been absent for some time .

Hopefully the weather doesn't get any hotter as the level has started to drop
