Myself and lake regular Ian drove down the quiet road to the lake excited at the news that most of the fish had sorted their spawning activities a couple of weeks previous and only a few stragglers were now involved .

I was armed with a boot load of the new LT fishmeal bait from Rod Hutchinson that I had tested to great effect on my last visit , so with the news they might be hungry I was prepared to give them some .

A week of great success followed with over 60 kg of the LT being introduced as well as plenty of Aller Aqua pellet and lake particle mix . Ian stuck to the lake bait as well as some of the LT and in all 27 fish were landed to 56 lb .
